69: SUNSET ON MOBILE BAY Sponsor: Dr. Jana and Robert "Bobby" C. Brown Artist: Bayside Beads

About the Pelican: For Sunset on Mobile Bay, the entire bird is beaded in Mosaic fashion with tiny glass seed beads. The bird is painted first, then thousands of beads are applied with an outdoor clear epoxy. Then a clearcoat is applied as sealant.
About The Artist: The artists collaborating on SUNSET ON MOBILE BAY are Anita Park-Rosenbaum, Alece Nordstrom and Kayla Tomlinson. Anita and Alece are a mother-daughter team, co-owners of Analece Design L.L.C. They studied metal arts at Revere Academy in San Francisco. Anita and Alece are also accomplished painters, working in a variety of media, including oil, acrylic and pastel. Prior to opening Analece and Bayside Beads, Alece and Anita showed their jewelry at many juried art shows in the Midwest and Southwest. They teach classes in bead techniques, cold connections, wire wrapping and Precious Metal Clay at their Bayside Beads store in Fairhope.
About The Sponsor: The "Sunset on Mobile Bay Pelican" is a beaded sunset made by Bayside Beads and we decided to honor our parents and aunt/uncle for their commitment in marriage and for their appreciation of nature and its unique beauty like that of the Fairhope sunset. In celebration of 30 years of marriage we honor Mr. and Mrs. Ted Baer (Suzanne ), 40 years of marriage we honor Dr. and Mrs. Charles H. Brown (Nancy) and for 54 years of marriage and sunset-watching for Mr. and Mrs. Donnis N. Brown (Anne). We are thankful to
learn from them, laugh with them, and be loved by them.
