To Be Hatched

About the Pelican: Ultimately wise and logical, Socrates is a no-frills, no-nonsense pelican. He needs no hoopla to insure his presence, for he is the wisest of them all. Perched atop his Grecian platform and adorned in his ancient tunic with sash and laurel wreath, Socrates orates on the important questions of the universe. His one wing pointing toward the heavens and his other bearing the golden sash of wisdom, he speaks with his golden beak. His body and wings are essentially black lacquer with touches of gold and his tunic is white the gold and red accents. His nest is made of grapevine and/or copper wire with lights intertwined to show his pearls of wisdom, which wisdom has gained for him and produced the golden egg which prominently rests in his nest. Socrates will inspire all who visit him.
